These are the exact threads used by Doreen Holmes when she
charted the Mary Busby Ackworth Sampler and are the only threads recommended by Doreen. If you are thinking of spending many hours reproducing a piece of history, you may consider using silk threads from Pearsall's - a company established in 1795. Mary Busby was born on 4th August 1790 and attended Ackworth School between 1800 and 1804. Our high quality filament silk threads have a wonderful sheen and are ideal for the reproduction of a work of art from the Ackworth Quaker School (established 1779).
